At a height of 26 feet above mean sea level, Mumbai airport serves as one of India's major international airports. It operates throughout the day, and currently handles upto 35 landings and takeoffs per hour. On November 3, 1995, Bombay airport reached a record 150 arrivals and 152 departures. International arrivals and departures are most frequent at night.

Indira Gandhi International Airport
Indira Gandhi International Airport is a major gateway to India. Located in the national capital, Delhi, it is a vital link between North India and rest of the globe.The International Terminal (Terminal II) has 35 airlines flying to major cities across the world.The Domestic Airport has three terminals, i.e. Terminal 1A & Terminal 1B and Domestic Arrival terminal. Terminal 1A caters to domestic flights of the national Indian Airlines and its subsidiary, Alliance Air. Flights of other scheduled private airlines viz. Jet Airways and Air Sahara operate from terminal 1B, along with other executive aircraft/private aviation activities. The road distance between the two terminals is eight kilometers.

A Glorious new chapter in the history of Indian aviation began in May,1999, when the first aircraft touched down at the Cochin International Airport. In the short span of time the airport has been operational, Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has achieved a lot to be proud of.The proudest moment came in May, 2000, when the Cochin International Airport achieved International status.

The 3400 metres long runway can easily handle the Boeing 747 aircraft.The airport has a state of the art ATC tower and the apron space is capable of accomodating upto eight aircraft at a time. Boarding & departure control and baggage reconciliation systems are fully computerised. Excellent arrangements have been made for customs, immigration and security checks. Aerobridge and escalators make passenger movement smooth. The parking area in front of the terminals can accommodate 1100 cars.

Chennai International Airport in India
Chennai has an International Airport situated at Tirisulam 7 Km south of Chennai. It has two terminals. The Domestic network links 20 important cities situated across the country with Chennai. The INDIAN AIRLINES Serves on the majority of the Sectors, while the JET AIRWAYS and SAHARA AIRLINES also operate.
